Douglas A. Comstock is on a detail assignment as the NASA HEOMD Commercial LEO Liaison. In this role he is the focal point within NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) for developing and communicating an integrated strategy for maximizing the potential for growth of commercial activities in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).  Previous leadership positions at NASA HQ include Deputy CFO for Integration, Comptroller, Director of the Innovative Partnerships Program, Director of the Cost Analysis Division, and founding Director of the Strategic Investments Division.  Prior to coming to NASA, Mr. Comstock spent four years in the White House/OMB serving in the Clinton and Bush administrations.  Prior to Government service, he was Director of Engineering and Program Management with the Futron Corporation, and began his career with General Dynamics Space Systems Division.  He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington and graduate degrees from MIT.
